My parents finally decided to turn on the A/C...haeluja :XD:

Well, to start things off, you have heard of people hating mondays and whatnot...well, now I'm one of 'em! Today wasn't exactly peaches n'cream. Let's see, I missed my bus to school (AGAIN!) and was half an hour late to class. That's only the beginning, Once I got to school, upon getting out of my car, my finger got jammed in the car door...literally, the door was completely closed and my finger was stuck. Exuse the french but it's been a real bitch all day, it hurts like hell. Right now it's blue and filled with blood..it feels like a balloon...kinda funny actually, but still...

On a lighter note, I recieved my class schedule for college on Saturday, one more step colser to being a college student, It feels exilerating.
Orientation at CSUB as fun as well, I participated in this cool dance the Phillipine club was doing, and I won a free shirt. Just 4 more weeks and I'm free for summer, to do whatever, and you know wgat that means. I'll be able to start my comic in earnest (I know Nikki, I'm a lazy good for nothing XDDDD)

Just when you think things can't get any worse, you're blindsided. If you're unaware of what I'm talking about, read this...[link]

Last time I checked, my artwork and photos were...well MINE!!!
What gets me pissed off is that my own government is taking my expressive rights away. That it would allow private companies make a cheap profit by endorsing the theft of other people's art.

Amandment 14 Scetion 1 of the United States Constitution states:


1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


According to Federal law, it is wrong to take away my right to my life, liberty and property. Well this Orphan works legislation will bypass this right and violate two of my natural rights: my right to the liberty of sharing my artwork via the internet and my right to own my own work without paying for it, after all, if I create it with my own two hands, it IS my property.

To American artists everywhere, stop this legislation from coming to fruition in any way, shape or form, we CANNOT stand idilly by while our rights are stripped from under or feet.

To my fellow artists elsewhere in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia make sure that any Orphan works imitation does not grow in your respective nations. Pressure your American friends, tell them to stop it here in the US before it crosses our fronteirs.

Edmund Burke once stated "the only thing nessicary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". All that is needed for this evil law to become reality is if we don't do anything to stop it...

Well, it's been well over a month since my last one, so I might as well tell you guys about me and my crazy doings :D

Well, first of all, lets talk about college. I took my entry placement exams today at school(I'm exausted!). I have to pass them in order to attend a California State University Campus...or to decide which classes to get in the Universtiy, I forget which one it is...
Oh, and while we're on the subject of college, my dream school, the one I've been dying to atted for the past 4 years, UC Santa Barbara rejected me about a week ago. I always imagined this moment to be catostophic, but I felt fine the moment after reading the letter. In December I decided to attend CSU Bakersfield (which has already accepted me :D) so it made the rejection hurt...not so much, if not at all :XD:

As for school, well, is almost done XD
Just 9 more weeks and I officially become a college student. At the end of the year (May 26-30) the school organizes all these fun activities for the graduating seniors, like a breakfast, picnic, a night trip to Disneyland all culminating with graduation :D

Ok, now for art...
I have some stuff, but I'm not done with any of it...I won't say when I'll post, but I'll eventually get to put something up, just don't expect anything anytime soon ^^;

I love life :XD: and for a multitude of reasons

First and formost, my high school crush and one of my greatest friends :iconwhiskey-lullaby: has agreed to be my girlfriend, and I couldn't be happier. She is an amazing woman, we both love to draw, love musicals and drama, have a soft side for the little animals (and big ones too :giggle: )

Second, the details and results from the "We the People" State Competition. Well, Feb. 6 I was tired to begin with (I had to work at the polls on Super Today and got home late, the had to wake up at 5 in the morning). Regardlass wednesday was fun...untilI realized my suit, the suit I needed for the cometition was back here in Arvin, 300 miles(or 450 km) away! My parents had to mail it to our hotel and it got there on time...kinda ^^;
anyway, the following day, on thursday we began strong, an d we all did really great, which earned us a place in the "final four" where the last four schools duke it out to see who would represent California at the national competition in April. Well, Arvin ended up getting 4th place, but it's still good, all the information I gained is as much as a victory as anything :D

Now, for news about art :D
Even though We the People is now over, I'm now trying to do make up work for my classes for missing a week of school. Not only that, but I also need to get ready for my entry into college, like applying for scolarships and taking my placement exams, so the art will have to be slow. I'm currently working on some drawings on my spare time, just don't exoact anything, my schedule is very erratic at the moment. don't worry, though, with the semester nearly half over, it should get easier, so yeah :XD:

After an exausting 6-hour ride from Sacramento, I'm back in the confort of my home...and boy am I glad, I'm tired as hell. I've worked so hard all week, I can't even begin to describe how exausetd I feel. Not to be rude or anything, but I won't comment on any deviations tonight simply because I wan't to go to sleep. I promise I'll comment tomorrow and post a better journal...this is just a heads up to let ya know I returned home...:D
