Just wanted to start by saying...FREEDOM!!!

this last week has been murder, I'm so glad the weekend has arrived

This last week I had midterms for a few of my classes (I still have one to go on Monday, wish me luck!). I've also been taking other peoples shifts at work (I want the cash, so yeah ), so naturally I've had little time for myself these last few days...so forgive me for not being quicker on the art, I know I have several things promised to several people, and I'm trying to get them up asap
I've finally gotten one free sketch done, for my friend , he's done me a free sketch as well and another piece with me characters, so getting his done first seemed the least I could do...hope you enjoy your sketch

In other news, I am visiting family in Mexico next month. It's a really significant trip for me because it's the first time I visit my family in Mexico in 15 years (I was 4 last time around!). I'm staying at my aunts and uncles house in Guadalajara, and I'm going with a few cousins of mine, so I'm really pumped about this trip!
I may or may not take my laptop to Mexico, so I may or may not be online for all of December...I'll update on that later...

More art is on the way, so hang tight, now that things at school will quiet down I can finish all my crap...haha

UPDATE: Ok...I know I haven't posted any sketches yet...I'M SOOOO SORRY, DON'T KILL ME!!! I have one completed and a few stared...I've just had to deal with so much, with school (I have midterms next week!), work, extracurriculars AND I'm now preparing to visit Mexico in about a month...so bare with me, I'll get all the things I have up, trust me, I'd rather be drawing...

...oh, and please, don't let my priorities discourage anyone else who may want a free sketch, I still have 5 slots left...just know it may be a while before you see it...

Ok, so I stole this from and , so sue me...lawl

Hahaha!!! You cannot fathom the lengths I've been through to be able to post a journal a my own computer...well, I stand corrected, we who live with these infernal contraptions are at their wim...lawl XD

Well considering only 2Q really knew what Ive been through, lemme explain...

About 3 weeks ago, I was listening to some music on Youtube when I had the luck of being attacked by a trojan virus. As fate would have it the same happened to 2Q and a few others I know. Anyway my computer crashed and could not turn on properly there afterwords ( damned antivirus was not activated) so to be blunt my poor laptop was mortally fucked

Fast forward three weeks and thanks to the electronic genius of my uncle, it has recovered, and I couldn't be happier!

I'm currently using this new operating system, called Ubuntu, and I gotta say it's really sweet
...just right now I'm trying to get YIM so I can talk to 2Q again, lol

Once I get everything all worked out on my computer, I'll start to upload all the pics I have. My LONG OVERDUE PORJECT is done, as well as a few minor sketches as well as 's reverse request (I asked him if I could draw his kickass OC and he kindly agreed )

Currently I'm living with my uncle in Los Angeles, taking a break of sorts before uni begins in a month, which is why I said it might take a while to upload the pics I have...

Well seeing that I have not updated my journal since February (and well, the damn thing was getting unpleasant to look at), I'm taking the liberty of talking about my day at Anime Expo, followed by an update...and I'll try to keep it brief considering it's 3am PST and I'm effing tired >_<

I gotta say, for my first ever convention I really enjoyed it. Four of my friends besides myself made the two hour trek Friday morning to Los Angeles and walked around the Exhibition Hall after registering. It was there where I was punched...err...kinda, by a cosplaying Rorschach. The moment was captured on camera so I can post it for Nicole's amusement, lol
After walking around, more pictures w/cosplayers and other monotneity (such as searching for low priced merchandise to no avail), we left for lunch. We ended up eating at this nice Japanese restaurant in a Little Tokyo shopping mall...and I ate like there was no tomorrow. After that we returned to the Convention Center and wandered around some more, watched some anime, then attended these AMV awards thing. We saw AMV's people submitted to AX and voted on the best ones by category. By the time all was said and done, it was midnight and the Con center was closing for the night, so we packed up and headed home.

There are tons more details but you have the gist of it right there...and I wanna finish NAO!!! >

In terms of art, I have several things I really need to finish ( I have a good ten Deviations in the works that I have stared...but like most everything else that I begin are not complete. If you don't believe me, ask 2Q, she's seen me at work and knows my lazy tendencies...

Bare with me, like I stated in a recent deviation, I plan to post my ass off this summer XDDD

On a quick side note, if any of you recall my anti-art block streak back in January that came to a grinding halt in February...well it didn't get any better after that. In March I began the Spring quarter at the university and decided to take three classes that I thought would be relatively passable, not too easy and not too hard. Well all was well until the beginning of May, the same week I had mid-terms, I also began working at my new job. on top of all thins I got the flu and because I commute half an hour every day to school, was forced to stay home for several days to recover my health. It took me over two weeks to get better, and considering all three classes were equal in difficulty, I found it impossible to catch up on everything I missed. Long story short I failed one class and have to retake another...just wanted to throw out one of the reasons I kinda fell off the face of the earth for several weeks...hehe

anyway, I'm going to bed, so goodnight and all that jazz...
